Taito Corporation is a Japanese video game software and arcade game maker. Taito was founded in 1953 by a Russian Jewish Micheal Kogan. In Japanese characters, the writing is "too East" (pronounced "TIE-toe"). The name is part of each of the two words "Pacific" and "Far East", and also has "Jewish" meaning (because the founder Michael Kogan is Jewish). Taito also sells video games in the United States. They make games all over the world. Taito was bought by Nicks in 2005.
